Sankofa Dance Theater touched thousandas of artists and audience members throughout its 30 year history. We are currently collecting stories to include in the exhibition.
If you would like to share your SANKOFA story, please use the link below to record a short video using the TheirStory platform. Stories can be as short at 30 seconds, and up to 5 minutes in length.
By recording a story, you hereby authorize the Peale to use your story and add it to its Baltimore Story archive.

INSTRUCTIONS FOE USING THEIRSTORY:
- Click this link.
- Type your name in the pop-up box.
- Click the red “Start Recording” button at top left when you’re
ready to talk! - After telling your story, click the red “Recording” button again to stop the recording.
- Click the red “Hang up” phone icon.
- A screen will appear that asks for your name, email, keywords,
and a description of your story. (Don’t worry, you don’t need to
fill it all out!) - Click the “Terms of Use” checkbox.
- Save story.
- Please note: if you are using a cell phone to record your story, please turn it so that the recording is horizontal.
